Rush hour
When Rush Hour Records unified their vinyl boutique, back office and distribution headquarters under a new roof in 2014, the need for some bespoke furniture pieces became apparent. Commissioned by Antal Heitlager.
- Taking both their sound quality and seventies aesthetic into account, the Klipsch Heresy speakers in the shop were raised by pedestals, made with three layers of plywood laminated together and finished with Indian ink.
- The movable “deep listening station” was built from black mdf and polished with hard wax oil to visually elongate the counter top. It features secluded housing for the vulnerable glass tube pre-amp.
- This one-piece furniture design fits 6 desks into a 25 square meter office space, maximizing the distribution team’s communication efforts without the loss of privacy.
